I. Visiting our website

1. Server log files

When you visit our website, your browser automatically transmits information to our server, which is temporarily stored in server log files. The following data is collected:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the file retrieved
  • Referrer URL
  • Browser type, operating system and access provider

This data is processed to ensure a smooth connection, comfortable website use and system security. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Data is automatically deleted when no longer necessary, at the latest after 30 days.

2. Cookies

Our website uses only technically necessary session cookies (e.g. language preference). These cookies contain no personal data and are deleted when you close your browser. No tracking or advertising cookies are used. No consent is required for technically necessary cookies (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).

3. Analytics / Tracking

We do not use any analytics or tracking services (e.g. Google Analytics, Matomo). No statistical analysis of your usage behaviour takes place.

4. Social media plug-ins

Our website does not include any social media plug-ins from third-party providers. No data is transmitted to social networks.

5. Google Fonts

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). When you visit a page, a connection to Google's servers is established and your IP address is transmitted. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in consistent display). 6. Contact form

If you send us a request via the contact form, your details (name, company, email address, phone number, subject and message) will be stored for the purpose of processing your request and any follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). Data will be deleted once your request has been fully processed and no retention obligations apply.

II. Contact by phone or email

If you contact us by phone or email, we process the personal data you provide (name, contact details, content of the request) solely to handle your enquiry and, if applicable, to fulfil a contract. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR. Data will be deleted once no longer required, unless statutory retention periods apply.

1. Disclosure to third parties

We do not transfer your personal data to third parties unless:

  • you have given explicit consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR),
  • disclosure is required for contract performance (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR),
  • there is a legal obligation to disclose (Art. 6 (1)(c) GDPR), or
  • disclosure is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims and your interests do not override ours (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).

No data is transferred to third countries outside the EU.

3. Right to object

Where your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR. To exercise this right, please send an email to h.schulz@media-and-it.de.

4. Retention period

Your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its purpose. For enquiries not resulting in a contractual relationship, data is deleted within 15 months at the latest. Otherwise, data is retained in accordance with statutory obligations (e.g. 10 years for tax purposes) and deleted immediately after expiry.

5. Data security

This website is delivered exclusively via HTTPS. The connection between your browser and our server is encrypted using SSL/TLS. We also apply appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or manipulation.

6. Currency of this privacy policy
